Relativity Hires Kathy Dossett to Head Up Human Resources Team
(Beverly Hills, Calif.) July 19, 2012 – Relativity Media announced today that Kathy Dossett has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Human Resources reporting directly to Relativity’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, Happy Walters.
In this role, as a member of the executive team, Dossett will drive company-wide people strategies, develop and implement policies and programs to support Relativity’s strategic vision and growth targets.
Most recently, Dossett worked as HR Business Partner Consultant at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Pictures Animation where she advised business and production leadership in HR matters and managed day to day operations. Prior to Sony Pictures Entertainment, Dossett was Vice President, Human Resources for three years at animation production studio IMAGI Studios. During her time there, Kathy lead the organization in impelling Human Resources and business strategy in domestic and international markets.
Dossett also held the position of HR Business Partner at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank for five years, where she partnered with key division senior executives within Motion Picture and Physical Production to accomplish enterprise-wide HR initiatives, such as Executive Talent Development & Succession Planning programs. She began her career as Head of Employee Relations at DreamWorks Studios where she advised studio heads on HR matters during the DreamWorks/PDI merger and established programs, including Management Development and Performance Management.
Kathy graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Business.
