Ashley Tisdale "Blondie Girl" Signs Overall Deal With Relativity Media

    12.15.2009

Ashley Tisdale and her production company Blondie Girl Productions, has signed a multi-year producing deal with RelativityREAL, the reality/alternative television arm of Relativity Media. Tisdale is best known for her portrayal of ‘Sharpay Evans’ in the High School Musical film series, and as a recording artist with two albums released, including the certified Gold album “Headstrong.” Today’s announcement, from RelativityREAL CEO Tom Forman, affirms Tisdale will create, develop and executive-produce new series for broadcast and cable networks.

Through Blondie Girl Productions and producing partner, Jessica Horowitz, Tisdale has been creating family and young adult projects for the past two years. Beyond developing vehicles for Tisdale herself, the company's focus has been to seek out and produce exciting and inventive entertainment that speaks to family audiences.

“Ashley's the very definition of a multi-talented artist with unique insight into young demographics,” said Tom Forman. "We're thrilled she'll be joining RelativityREAL as we continue to partner with the most creative producing talents in the world."

This marks the third major overall deal for RelativityREAL in less than a year. The first was with Executive Producers Jay Blumenfield and Anthony Marsh and the second with Wilmer Valderrama in May 2009.

“I’m excited to be working with RelativityREAL,” said Tisdale. “This is such a great opportunity to grow Blondie Girl and for us to work with a fantastic creative team to produce exciting television."

Currently, Tisdale stars as Candace Flynn in the Emmy and BAFTA-nominated animated series, Phineas and Ferb on Disney XD and Disney Channel. Previously, she captured the attention of fans for her role in the Disney Channel’s hit series, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Other reoccurring television roles include George Lopez, Still Standing, and The Hughleys, as well as guest starring roles on Grounded for Life, Strong Medicine, Boston Public, and 7th Heaven.

Tisdale is repped by CAA, Perlman Management Group and BWR.
