    Relativity Media Forges New Foreign Output Deal with Sahamongkol Distribution in Thailand

    (Beverly Hills, Calif.) November 2, 2012 - Relativity Media announced today it has closed a new foreign output deal with leading Thailand distributor Sahamongkol Film International to oversee the distribution of Relativity’s feature films in Thailand through 2015, which will include the ensemble comedy Movie 43, the film adaptation to Nicholas Sparks best-selling Safe Haven, the comedy 21 and Over, the darkly comedic action thriller Malavita, and the newly-announced animated comedy Turkeys. This agreement furthers the studio’s expansion into the global marketplace.
     
    Sahamongkol has handled distribution in Thailand on previous Relativity’s films such as Nicholas Sparks’ drama Dear John, the 3D epic adventure Immortals, the dynamic action thriller Haywire, the Navy SEAL action thriller Act of Valor, and the magical comedy Mirror Mirror.
     
    Relativity is also pleased to announce it has renewed output deals extending through 2018 and 2019 with distributors from Turkey, Middle East and Eastern Europe. Under these agreements, the distributors will release Relativity’s aforementioned upcoming titles and have previously released such films as Limitless, Immortals, Act of Valor and  Mirror Mirror.  
     

    • Aqua/Pinema Group initially signed its deal with Relativity in 2008 to handle Relativity’s releases in Turkey and has extended its agreement to 2018. 
    • Gulf Films originally signed its deal with Relativity in 2008 to handle the distribution of Relativity’s films in the Middle East, and has extended through 2018.
    • MGN Films initially signed its agreement with Relativity to handle its releases in CIS/Eastern Europe in 2008 and has extended the deal through 2019.

    Relativity’s team is on the ground at AFM showcasing its upcoming slate including the outrageous Movie 43 (in theatres January 25, 2013), the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling Safe Haven (in theatres February 8, 2013), the comedy 21 and Over (in theatres March 1, 2013), the darkly comedic action film with EuropaCorp currently-titled Malavita (in theatres October 18, 2013) and the newly-announced Turkeys. Relativity is in post-production on Scott Cooper’s gritty dramatic thriller currently-titled Out of the Furnace.
