RelativityREAL Signs Television Producer Ray Ricord To Multi-Year Deal

(Beverly Hills, Calif.) July 10, 2012 – Established television producer Ray Ricord has signed a multi-year producing deal with RelativityREAL, the television arm of Relativity Media, it was announced today by RelativityREAL CEO Tom Forman. The deal furthers RelativityREAL’s push into scripted television, which began with sales earlier this year to ABC and ABC Family among other networks.

Ricord brings a full slate of shows to the company, as well as his experience at ABC, ABC Studios, Disney Channel and ABC Family and his recent overall deal with Erik Jendresen and SONY Television. He recently served as EP on “This American Housewife” for Lifetime, which starred Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith. Ricord will be immediately bringing projects to broadcast and cable networks and will also work with Forman to explore ways to develop Relativity Media’s hit film properties for television including Limitless, Immortals and Haywire.

“Ray is a rare find — both a truly talented producer and a determined entrepreneur. We're thrilled to have him aboard as we continue to grow our scripted business alongside our robust unscripted slate,” said Forman.

This marks the fifth major overall deal for RelativityREAL in the past three years. Ricord joins RelativityREAL's robust team of in-house producers including Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh (“Gigolos”), Ellen Rakieten (“Hollywood Girls Night”), Wilmer Valderamma (“Bugging Out”), and Ashley Tisdale (“Miss Advised”).
